How to Delete Your Sportera Account

At Sportera, we respect your right to control your personal data. If you wish to delete your account, you have two options to do so.

Option 1: Email Request (Fastest - Within 48 hours)

Send a deletion request to our support team for the quickest account removal:

  • Email us at
  • Include "Account Deletion Request" in the subject line
  • Provide the email address associated with your Sportera account
  • We'll process your request within 48 hours (often within 12 hours)

This method provides immediate and permanent deletion with no recovery option.

Option 2: In-App Deletion (14-Day Grace Period)

Delete your account directly from the Sportera app with a recovery option:

  • Open the Sportera app on your device
  • Tap your avatar icon in the top left corner to open Settings
  • Scroll to the bottom of the Settings menu
  • Tap "Delete Account" button
  • Confirm your decision when prompted

Important: In-app deletion includes a 14-day grace period. During this time, you can reactivate your account by simply signing in again. After 14 days, your account and data will be permanently deleted.

Note: If you need immediate deletion without the 14-day waiting period, please use Option 1 (email request) instead.

What Data Is Deleted

When your Sportera account is deleted, the following data will be permanently removed:

  • Your profile information (name, email, profile photo)
  • Activity and fitness data (completed exercises, workouts, achievements)
  • Rewards and points balance
  • Referrals list
  • Location history (gyms you've visited)
  • App preferences and settings
  • Any other data you've provided to us

Data Retention

Upon account deletion, we follow these retention practices:

  • Email deletion (Option 1): All personal data is permanently deleted within 48 hours of request confirmation
  • In-app deletion (Option 2): Data is marked for deletion and held for 14 days (recovery period), then permanently deleted
  • Legal obligations: Certain transaction records may be retained for legal, tax, or regulatory compliance (anonymized where possible) for the period required by applicable laws
  • Backup systems: Deleted data may remain in backup systems for up to 30 days before complete removal

After Account Deletion

Once your account is permanently deleted:

  • You will no longer be able to access the Sportera app or services
  • Any unused rewards or points will be forfeited
  • Your username will become available for others to use
  • You cannot recover any data associated with the deleted account
  • If you wish to use Sportera again, you'll need to create a new account
